A Place to Thrive

Join us for the most important campaign in Thrive's 35 year history.

Thrive has been serving Gallatin County for over three decades, providing high quality, evidence-based and informed programming for families and children.

Since 1986, we have not had an opportunity to own our own space until now. We currently pay over $100,000/year in rent and associated costs, and while we have made the most of our current space, we are unable to host many of our programs and activities onsite.

Even before the pandemic, we needed to expand our programs and activities. We also recognize the increased demand for virtual trainings into the future. In particular, demand for our parenting classes and Parent Liaison services has increased by 25% and 20% respectively. Each year we recruit, train and screen over 600 volunteer mentors for local schools.

In Bozeman, 1 in 3 children enters kindergarten each year without reading-readiness skills. To address this need, we will expand our developmental screenings and early childhood programming with the creation of an Early Childhood Learning Lab. Thrive’s services have always been rooted in prevention as a method to optimize outcomes for children from birth through graduation.

Thrive’s new facility will reflect how we are innovating for the future to ensure all children have the opportunity thrive.

WHY NOW

OPPORTUNITY

A generous anonymous donor is offering $1.5M for Thrive to purchase a building. Our goal is to raise $1.5M, $750K of which meets our 2 to 1 match obligation for this gift. The pandemic has highlighted our adaptability and created a unique time to reconfigure space and technology for programmatic needs into the future.

GROWING NEED

Our programs continue to grow with our community and local families need our services more than ever. We will leverage what we have learned about the benefits of increased access through virtual training, but we also recognize the need for additional in-person programming into the future. There is a gap in early childhood support in our community, and we have the expertise and experience to meet this growing need with a new facility. We will be a central hub for ANY parent for ANY need.

INVESTMENT

Securing a facility means we can reinvest our rental costs into programs, ensuring we are prepared to meet the needs of families as our community grows and as we all recover from the long-term, compounding effects of this devastating pandemic.
