Position Summary:
Thrive Liaisons are professionals who work within elementary schools during the academic year to strengthen the connection between families and the school community. These liaisons focus on promoting parental involvement and supporting children’s academic and social development. They manage community volunteers for Thrive’s CAP program, ensuring students receive individualized mentoring to boost their academic and social competencies. Some evening and weekend work is required. The position can be fast-paced, with numerous tasks and demands competing for attention and little supervision.

Position Responsibilities:
● Assist parents in identifying and accessing community services/resources that relate to the family’s needs
● Identify and build upon a family’s strengths and help them to implement positive parenting practices
● Provide emotional support to parents on an individual basis and to those who participate in parenting classes
● Collaborate with school partners to connect parents to their child’s school, reduce barriers, and help them feel included in their child’s education
● Give direct support to MultiLingual families through Google Translate, Talking Points, or Acculing if not fluent in Spanish
● Work as part of a team to recruit, screen, train, and match all CAP mentors at assigned schools
● Provide consistent and effective management and support to CAP mentors
● Coordinate mentor and student activities in schools
● Provide consistent supervision for CAP mentors
● Assist CAP mentors in identifying methods and resources necessary for a child’s achievement of goals
● Communicate effectively with school staff about program procedures, including timelines for referrals, policies, and parental permission
● Visit each assigned school building daily, at times and locations accessible to school staff
● Participate in student referral screening and facilitate student success meetings
● Facilitate communication with parents regarding program details, goals, and status updates
● Work closely with and develop trusted relationships with Thrive and Bozeman School teams
● Facilitate cross-team cohesiveness and increase communication effectiveness
● Assist in creating an effectively functioning program within the school(s)
● Collect data, conduct surveys, and track attendance, participation, and program specifics to evaluate the effectiveness of Programs
● Assist in developing future goals and determining the needs to meet such goals

Education, Training, Experience & Certification Requirements:
● Four-year degree in social work, education, psychology, family sciences, or related field
● 3+ years of prior experience working in schools and/or with families
● Additional working knowledge of local community resources is preferred
● Spanish language skills are a plus

Salary & Benefits
This position pays $38,300, commensurate with experience. It also includes for FT positions:
