Partnership Project
Offering guidance and support for parents and families from the very beginning.
Through home visits and personalized support, Partnership works to foster the confidence and self-sufficiency of young families to create a strong foundation in which children can reach their full emotional, intellectual, social and physical potential.
PROUD OF OUR IMPACT
82% of Partnerships Project children have met (if not exceeded) developmental milestones
“Thank you for being such an incredible resource to new moms in the Valley.”
-Partnership Program mother
“I say it often and mean it every time – I’ll always be grateful that we were able to meet our Family Support Worker and have her as a part of our family.”
-Partnership Program parent
Parent Place
Empowering parents with skills for success.
Parent Place offers support for all parents to ensure that local children are cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally well-developed. Programming is low or no cost and designed to provide parents with unique opportunities to enjoy time with their children, enhance their skills as parents, and meet other families in the community.
PROUD OF OUR IMPACT
With the help of our Parent Place educators, families grew comfortable with the Bozeman Public Library, the staff, and checking out books in Spanish for themselves and their children, using the library as a resource and support.

Parent Liaison
Expert staff supporting the bridge between home and school.
Parent Liaisons facilitate parenting classes, connect parents to community resources, and support parent-teacher collaboration. This program is grounded in the fact that family engagement in school is critical to the success of children. Thrive Liaison program was implemented at Saddle Peak Elementary in Belgrade. Informed by a wealth of research, this program has also been successfully replicated in: Johnson County WY, Mineral County MT, Park County MT, and Sheridan County WY.
PROUD OF OUR IMPACT
Liaisons have a toolbox of resources to help families in a variety of ways. This year, that looked like:
- A liaison coaching a father after a period of incarceration to develop and practice strong parenting skills.
- Grateful parents who want to “give back” to Thrive by donating winter coats and gas cards.
- A relieved parent who found help for her addicted daughter through the school’s liaison.
- School principals and counselors teaming up with liaisons to support students with multilingual and multicultural backgrounds.
“Our (school’s) Liaison goes to great lengths to communicate with our families, both when they are on solid footing (to celebrate) and when they are in crisis (to support).”
-Bozeman Teacher
Child Advancement Project (CAP)
Where every child is just one caring adult away from a more promising future.
The Child Advancement Project (CAP) carefully matches nurturing community volunteer mentors with students in grades K-12. National statistics show mentoring benefits include: a 50% increase in graduation rates, increased lifetime earning potential, and decreased justice system costs.

PROUD OF OUR IMPACT
- 88% of Bozeman parents said their child has benefitted from working with a CAP mentor
- 100% of Big Sky parents said their child met important goals in CAP
- Multilingual Learners (MLL) students in grades K-5 with CAP mentors perform better on the Acadience Reading assessment than those without mentors.
“My child’s attitude toward writing has improved, and I think his mentor helped with that by reading books about subjects he is interested in.”
-Bozeman Parent
“I have enjoyed it (CAP) immensely. I miss teaching after retiring from 25+ years so this feeds my soul in a way that other activities do not.”
-Bozeman CAP Mentor
“I have seen the power of CAP mentoring. We have a student that has been struggling academically and her CAP mentor was creative to help this student move from refusing to read to asking to read on her own. They not only focused on academics, they also focused on other fun life skills.”
-Big Sky Teacher
“I’ve seen the excitement in a student’s eyes when their mentor arrives!”
-Belgrade Teacher
