Partnership Project

Strategizing with young parents how to plan a healthy, happy path for the new family.

Our two-year home visiting program that helps young parents gain the confidence and stability they need to bond with and nurture their children as they grow up. Partnership Project addresses the full spectrum of barriers that young parents and their children face, ending generational cycles of poverty, lack of education, inadequate healthcare, substance abuse, and teen pregnancy.

PROUD OF OUR IMPACT

In 2024, we supported 69 households in our Partnership Project.

Thrive is full of kind and caring employees who put the kids above all while doing their best to support parents. In the time I’ve been with Thrive, they’ve helped me through a long custody battle, gotten me housing, daycare, state assistance, and more. Thrive works hard to ensure that parents and kids have everything they need to be successful. I’m grateful to be able to access these services.”

Parent Place

Empowering parents with free resources to lay a foundation for healthy growth and development of their children and family success.

Parent Place programming gives parents the information, skills, and resources they need to lay a foundation for their child’s healthy growth and development. Services include early childhood development screenings, family bonding events, and parenting classes. Parent Place encourages positive parenting practices, reducing caregiver stress and the risk of child abuse or neglect.

Word Play, our new literacy intervention program, provides targeted pre-K literacy support to ensure children enter school primed and ready to learn and succeed. Parent Place encourages positive parenting practices, reducing caregiver stress and the risk of child abuse or neglect.

In 2024, our events included Thriving Dads, Mama Meetups and Building Healthy Families (STEM).  We also introduced a new regular program called Conexiones Familiares. – a monthly event for Spanish-speaking families to come to Thrive and get help with paperwork, resource information, and ask questions of our bilingual staff.

PROUD OF OUR IMPACT

With the help of the Bozeman Reads program, we continue our collaboration with the school district to prepare children for kindergarten through our early literacy programs.

Staffing and organizational leadership changes enabled us to create a more robust long-range strategic plan for Parent Place. Those can be found here.

Parent Liaison

Expert staff supporting the bridge between home and school.

Parent Liaison helps schools and families work together toward the common goal of student success. Liaisons support parents in collaborating with teachers in the best interest of their child, connecting with needed community resources, and enhancing parenting strategies. Parent engagement is linked to improved student behavior, enhanced social skills, and higher school attendance and graduation rates.

PROUD OF OUR IMPACT

“Our Liaison is always someone I can turn to when I am overwhelmed or unsure of how to approach a situation or parent. I honestly don’t know how I’d do this job without her.”

-Teacher

“I know how busy teachers and staff are so it feels monumental to have someone available to help outside of the classroom.”

Child Advancement Project (CAP)

Where every child is just one caring adult away from a more promising future.

CAP matches volunteer adult mentors with K-12 students to provide academic, social, and emotional support for one hour a week. CAP increases access to school- and community-based services to combat isolation, anxiety, and depression; improve school connectedness; and overcome academic achievement gaps.

Children with mentors are more likely to avoid drug and alcohol use, graduate high school, obtain an advanced degree, and hold a leadership position in their career.

  • Thrive’s CAP staff presented at the National Mentoring Summit in January 2025. The presentation was titled Empowering Youth in Challenging Contexts: Leveraging Values for Successful Outcomes
  • 51 new CAP mentors attended additional trainings offered by local experts, including CAP staff, in topics related to mentoring

“CAP matches are a wonderful way for students to feel connected to a positive adult in the community. My students are always so eager and excited to work with their mentor.”

Teacher

“It has been with great joy to mentor three CAP students over four years. For each CAP mentee, I have seen them grow in confidence in school and friendships. They have developed skills that help them regulate emotions and deal with various situations.”

Mentor

“Our son loves his time with his CAP mentor and it is part of helping him thrive socially and emotionally to have an adult to connect with throughout the week.”
