What is Girls on the Run?
Girls on the Run inspires confidence in 3rd-5th grade girls:
Girls on the Run (GOTR) - Thrive is a Montana Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across the United States and Canada.
Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world where every kid knows and activates their limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue their dreams.
Meeting twice a week in small teams of girls, GOTR teaches life skills through conversational lessons, physical activities, and games. The curriculum is taught by trained Girls on the Run coaches.
GOTR inspires kids to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
Girls on the Run is an inclusive program in which the dignity of every participant is respected and all youth are safe. If a child identifies as a girl and the parent/guardian identifies the child as a girl, then the child is welcome to participate in Girls on the Run. Students who identify as non-binary or gender-expansive and are interested in Girls on the Run are also welcome to participate.
