Thriving Institute: Transforming Explosive Behaviors Into Cooperation
April 11 @ 6:00 pmFree
Children of all ages are prone to explosive emotional meltdowns throughout their development. Although no magic solutions to children’s emotional meltdowns exist, parenting strategies and techniques can defuse power struggles and facilitate emotional regulation.
In this workshop, we begin with a review and analysis of common emotional triggers and typical explosive reactions. Then we will spend most of our time focusing on what parents and caretakers can do and say to manage their own emotions while teaching children emotional regulation and cooperation.
