Week 1 (Sept 26th) Setting Our Children Up for Success
In this workshop we will discuss the fundamental components that help set you and your family up for success through the school years. We will discuss the importance of empathy, partnering with your child’s teacher and school, as well as schedules and routines.
Week 2 (Oct 10th) Eliminating Power Struggles
Children are excellent at roping us into a useless power struggle with no end in sight. In this workshop we will visit some tips and strategies for putting an end to the very frustrating parenting pitfall.
Week 3 (Oct 17th) Empowering Your Child
Prepare your child for the road, not the road for your child. A key to our children’s success is giving them the confidence and skills they need to solve their own problems. In this workshop we will discuss ways in which you can empower your child solve their own problems and safely learn from their own mistakes.
Week 4 (Oct 24th) Raising Your Child in the Age of Screens
We are decidedly living in the age of screens and their is no turning back now! In this workshop we will discuss how to teach your child to use screens appropriately and what it means to be a responsible digital citizen.
Week 5 (Oct 31st) Parenting with Separate Households
Raising children in two separate households can be a very challenging experience. In this workshop we will talk about how to navigate this challenging situation while minimizing frustration on your part.
Week 6 (Nov 7th) How to Deal with Anger and Tantrums
Every body’s child has them yet still we feel frustrated and embarrassed when we find our child melting down in the middle of public place. In this workshop we will discuss tools and strategies dealing with this very common child behavior.
